Worship Services

Worship Services

One of the defining characteristics of the church is that we worship together. We come as individuals, many of whom are different from one another and hold opinions different than our own — and we celebrate what we have in common.

In worship, we hear scripture, offer prayers, listen to a moment of teaching (called a sermon or homily), and share the bread and wine — recalling the meal Jesus shared with his friends on the night before he died. This is known as The Eucharist, or Communion.

Funerals

Situated on Main Street in the former village of Port Dalhousie, this historic cemetery has served the community for nearly 200 years. Our original wooden church, built in 1841, stood on this land donated by Captain Read.

As you walk among the gravestones, you will find the names of many families who played important roles in the history of Port Dalhousie. Our Cemetery Board is recognized for professionalism and excellent maintenance of this highly visible, wrought-iron fenced cemetery serving both parishioners and the wider community.
